Opening
It took me my whole life, especially the last 6-7 years, to gather the recipes for this book. Additionally, it took me six months to cook all 80 three to four times to get them perfect. From March to August, I smelled of caramelized sugar, creamy butter, baked apples and blueberries, sometimes apricots, and from time to time of cheese. I woke up and went to bed thinking about cooking, and while I was awake, I did just that. I had no holidays β nothing except baking, but praise the Lord, I love that. That is my life. While I baked, my dear team edited, translated, illustrated, and checked, all for this beautiful book (I have to say that because it is true). Week.End.Eats Baking. A book about real flavors, love through food, tasty holidays, and just being in the kitchen.
And seven months later, it was time to celebrate with love, friends, partners, and people dear to me. With everyone who has supported, inspired, and been there for me.
