A La Mere de Famille

I love every little thing about A La Mere de Famille, a stunning shop in Paris (one of a few). Every single time I'm in Paris, I go there to buy something. The feeling from the shop has transferred beautifully to the pages of this Parisian book. With a touch of heritage, it is packed with lovely pictures, stories, old drawings, and details from the days since the day the shop opened. Even if you do not cook anything, this could be a book for everyone who loves Paris as it is not just a story about recipes, but is also a story about everything – history, people, details, techniques, and recipes. From guimauve, pear jam, speculoos cookies to luscious truffles, marron glace, pate de fruits, and cakes. This book is a journey from the end of the 18thcentury until today. Sweet and special.

You can buy the book in their shop in Paris, their online shop or on Amazon UK
