Tacolicous

Tacolicous

You can make reservations or rely on luck, happiness, and the amount of time you have when coming here. We did not make any reservations as we knew – even in case of waiting for an hour – that we would wait because Tacolicousis one-of-a-kind Mexican experience in san Francisco. Their cocktails range from amazing non-alcoholic (which might even make you stop there) to glassfuls of jalapeño spiciness. We were lucky, and after a 3h walk from the Walt Disney Museum to the Golden Gate Bridge and Crissy Field Beach, we arrived at Tacoliciousto be seated right away (outsides table would be available an hour later). The vibe, noisy and full of laughter, got the girls' attention. There is no memory of SF like the one from Tacolicous, where they fell in love with guacamole and food that is spicier than usual. The drinks came with a basket “hillfull” of taco chips. They slowly disappeared while we waited for our selection of tacos and Caesar Picante salad (Ceasar salad Mexican style) – all was served with three sauces. Although forks and knives are provided, there is no better way to eat your tacos than with your hands, using cutlery only for salad. The sensation of enjoying it like street food, as it is meant to be, makes it taste even better. Sitting there, it was no wonder everyone loves it – local, fresh, Mexican, respectful, amazing — a place to blend in with the locals.
